Jersey Boys - National Tour

This Tony-winning rags-to-riches story is just too good to be true!

Jersey Boys Tour Star Brandon Andrus On 'Transporting' Audiences and Meeting with an Original Member of the Four Seasons

As Nick Massi in the national tour of Jersey Boys, Brandon Andrus gets to “walk like a man” for cheering audiences across the country. Andrus talked with about starring in the Tony Award-winning show and wishing he could give gratitude to the real-life Four Seasons member he portrays.

“Often after the show, people come up to me to shake my hand and thank me for transporting them back to their youth,” Andrus said of Jersey Boys’ fervent audiences. “I am just one small part of a long line of success. I wish Nick [Massi] was around so I could thank him too.” [Massi died on Christmas Eve 2000.]

Andrus did get to meet one of the original Four Seasons on one of the most memorable nights of his life. “The opening night of our tour was in Philadelphia, my hometown,” the actor proudly recalls. “I was so honored to finally perform at home. It was a great audience and an original Season, Bob Gaudio, was there to congratulate us. It was truly a perfect night.”

Jersey Boys tells the story of how Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons went from being unknown New Jersey kids to international pop superstars. The show features over 30 hit songs, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You."

“The journey of this show is so fulfilling,” the actor said. “It's comedy, drama, dance and music. Like Tommy DeVito says in the show, "The Trifecta!"

Andrus is joined on stage by Brad Weinstock as Frankie Valli, Colby Foytik as Tommy DeVito and Jason Kappus as Bob Gaudio. Jersey Boys begins performances at New Orleans' Mahalia Jackson Theater on January 8 and runs through January 27.
